Digital Lightwave Adds 100G OTN & 100G Ethernet Support To NIC Platform

CLEARWATER, Fla. (MARKETWIRE)—March 8th, 2011—Digital Lightwave®, Inc., a leading provider of optical networking test equipment and technology, today announced the addition of 40Gbps and 100Gbps test functionality for SONET/SDH, OTN and Ethernet networks to its industry leading NIC product line.

As carriers and network operators deploy 40G and 100G networks in order to deliver the bandwidth required for residential and enterprise services, this exceptionally robust module for the NIC Platform allows them to accurately test & characterize their networks in order to ensure timely service delivery.

The CSA 4100 module provides physical layer testing including unframed multi-lane BERT, PCS BERT, skew generation and measurement and full protocol testing such as overhead manipulation & capture, service disruption measurements, RTD, multi-stream Ethernet generation & test and RFC 2544 benchmarking.
