Manufacturer Tektronix to enter power analyser market

Tektronix has announced a technology transfer agreement with partner Voltech that will allow them to introduce a product line into the power analyser market within the next few months; this will include power analyser IP, patents and product designs.

The agreement means that Voltech will now exit the power analyser market to focus on its transformer tester market, as part of the transfer it has been agreed that the two companies will work closely together to ensure a smooth transition for existing Voltech power analyser customers.

In addition to the sales line Tektronix will also provide service and support for the power analysers; customers will also have access to its network of sales, service and support personnel.

Power analysers complement other test and measurement instrumentation, such as oscilloscopes or power probes, to develop more energy-efficient devices or new forms of electricity generation such as solar photovoltaic and wind energy.
