Rohde & Schwarz phase out the RTO1000 Digital Oscilloscope Series

Rohde & Schwarz are phasing out the RTO1000 Series of oscilloscopes, following the introduction of the new RTO2000 series.

All models in the RTO1000 series are still currently available and can still be ordered up until 30th June 2016.

The Rohde & Schwarz guaranteed service and support period for these models will last until June 30th, 2021. Afterwards service and support can only be offered on a “best effort” basis.

Please contact MCS as soon as possible if you have service contracts that exceed 5 years.

Phase out roadmap:

  • Starting February 23, 2016 the phase out process starts. Units can still be ordered until June 30, 2016.
  • Starting July 1st, 2016 orders for R&S®RTO1000 can only be accepted after approval by the Product Division. If you have ongoing projects where switching to R&S®RTO2000 models is not possible, eg due to contractual obligations, please contact MCS immediately.
  • Service and support of the R&S®RTO1000 will last until June 30th, 2021.
  • All options for already existing R&S®RTO1000 models can still be ordered until further notice.
